Greetings to all CTS Valued Customers!
Did you know that about a month ago, cellular telephone usage surpassed landline telephone usage for the first time?
If more and more of your employees are conducting business outside of the office (field sales force, drivers, etc.), you might want to consider adding your business cell phones to Corporate Telecom Solutions’ Directory Assistance service. It’s a relatively simple procedure:
First, send us a list of your cell phone numbers. We require it to be in an Excel spreadsheet with no punctuation (parentheses, spaces, dashes, etc.) – just the 10-digit number. In another column, you may include the employee’s name, if you would like to track individual usage. Once we receive your file, we will have it loaded to a different toll-free number other than the one your landlines use. This is important because it allows us to use a Screening number where only pre-loaded numbers are allowed through. Your employees will not be able to dial the toll-free number from any phone other than their cell phone, since a message will advise them that they are not authorized users. Once we receive confirmation that the numbers have been loaded, we will send you the toll-free number, so that it can be programmed into each user’s Speed Dial function as “411” or “Directory Assistance.”
Your employees will need to be informed that only calls made through the Speed Dial function will come to us. If they continue to simply dial 411, the calls will be routed through their provider to the Local Exchange Carrier! Obviously, you will want to reinforce this to take advantage of the substantially lower cost of the call.
Each month your Corporate Telecom Solutions invoice will show a line item for Regular DA and another for Cellular DA. The Call Detail Report that supports the invoice will give you the breakdown of calls by user.
Call Completion Option:
Since it is often inconvenient for a cell user to jot down a number and redial, we offer a Call Completion option. We need to know that this is the option you want, so that we load your cell numbers to a Call Completion-enabled toll-free number. There is a $0.03 per call surcharge for this option as well as a $0.15 per minute charge that will apply as long as the call is connected.
Important!
There is no additional charge for cellular service when Call Completion is NOT selected. Your per-call rate would be the same as your landline service. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.
